High odds soccer betting predictions for underdogs

The current Nations League champion Spain hosts Netherlands in Valencia in a second leg from the competition’s 1/4-finals. The first leg on Dutch soil ended with a dramatic 2-2 draw. Let’s preview this second leg in our High odds soccer betting predictions for underdogs.

Spain were lucky to avoid the defeat in Rotterdam on Thursday. Until the 93rd minute they were one goal behind, but Mikel Merino came in from the bench and saved them with an equalising goal. Before him Nico Williams opened the score for Spain but Cody Gakpo and Tijani Reijnders turned the game around for Oranje.

Netherlands’ manager Ronald Koeman has one problem after the first match. One of his defenders Jorrel Hato was sent off during the game so he won’t be available for the second leg.

If Koeman decided to look at his bench for some changes, he could pick players like Simons, Koopmeiners, De Ligt and Wieffer – the options are there for the head coach.

Spain’s manager Luis de la Fuente also has problems after the first leg. His young center-back Pau Cubarsi injured himself in the first half on Thursday. Cubarsi won’t play in the second game which means that Brighton’s Dean Huijsen is expected to replace him in the line-up. Just like he did on Thursday.

Except for this change in defense, De la Fuente is not expected to make additional changes in his line-up. One of the changes he could make though is the inclusion of Dani Olmo – a big game player who loves performing in crucial moments.

Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams remain the big danger upfront in the Spanish team. Williams scored one of La Roja’s goals on Thursday, while Yamal could make an impact on Sunday.

That’s the High odds soccer predictions for underdogs for the Nations League clash between Spain and Netherlands. Let’s see how this one will go!
